Petrol's school friends filled up 61 school bags
The new school year has begun. This summer, Petrol, along with the Association of Friends of Youth Ljubljana Moste-Polje, designed the Become a Petrol School Friend campaign to ensure that all children enter school full of courage and with a smile on their face. As part of the campaign, the employees managed to fill up as many as 61 school bags for children from socially endangered families. But they did not just fill up the bags; they managed to procure a crate full of school supplies in the hall of the office building on Dunajska 50. At the same time, many donations were raised for the purchase of workbooks and computers for students.
The Become a Petrol School Friend campaign shows once again that Petrol employees indeed have a big heart. In cooperation with the Association of Friends of Youth Ljubljana Moste-Polje, they managed to fill as many as 61 school bags. "The bags were filled to the brim, and we received them from all over Slovenia. In addition to the bags, many of them sent us additional school supplies," says Jasmina Perc, the leader of the Become Petrol's School Friend campaign. In addition to full schoolbags, a number of boxes containing additional school supplies were brought to the Association of Friends of Youth Ljubljana Moste-Polje on Tuesday, 11 August 2020, which had been collected in the lobby of the Petrol office building on Dunajska. "Many thanks also go to the DZS, which donated 240 notebooks, 60 art accessories and 300 pens and erasers," added Perc. "We were very grateful seeing the van provided to us by Gold Ekspres for the delivery of bags and school supplies, and with warmth in our hearts we handed it all over to Živa Logar from the Association of Friends of Youth Ljubljana Moste-Polje," added Polona Žučko, one of the coordinators of the Become a Petrol School Friend campaign.
Donations intended for students as well
The campaign also involved collecting donations for the purchase of workbooks and computers for students. Employees donated their contributions via text messages, by sending a voluntary contribution, and, thanks to colleagues from mBills, also via their mobile wallet and QR code.
