Petrol Group

Petrol is not only the largest Slovenian energy company, but also the largest Slovenian importer, the largest Slovenian company in terms of revenues, and one of the largest Slovenian retail companies.

Presentation of Petrol Group

The main business activity of the company is trading in oil derivatives, gas and other energy products. In this business area, Petrol generates more than 80 percent of all sales revenue, and it also has a leading market share in the Slovenian market.

Management

The six-member Management Board of Petrol d.d. is chaired by Sašo Berger, and it is also consists of Jože Smolič, Marko Ninčević, Metod Podkrižnik, Drago Kavšek and Zoran Gračner, who, in addition to being a member of the Management Board, also works as Worker Director.

Corporate governance

The management of Petrol d.d., Ljubljana is based on statutory provisions, the Articles of Association as the basic legal act of the company, internal acts and the established and generally accepted good business practice. The management is conducted through a two-tier system: the company is managed by the management board, and its operation is supervised by the supervisory board.

The basic strategic orientations for the development of Petrol Group are energy transition towards a low-carbon society, the development of new technologies and transforming established ways of how energy products are produced, sold and used. More

EU Projects

The Petrol Group is committed to the transition to green energy, and is making significant investments to achieve this. This also includes the use of European funding. We have been involved in various EU pilot, development, research and infrastructure projects for many years.

The Code of Conduct gives an example to all Slovenian companies, and we expect our business partners to respect similar principles and standards in our mutual relationship.

History

Since its inception in the post-war period, Petrol d.d. has experienced many important breakthroughs: expanding the network of service stations, expanding its activites and entering foreign markets, and transforming from oil and gas to an energy company.
