The Apple of inspiration, an expression of gratitude to salespeople
On Wednesday, 7 October 2020, the salespeople at Petrol received the Apple of Inspiration award on behalf of their trade activity, alongside the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia Mariča Lah, from the hands of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor, as an expression of attention and gratitude to all salespeople tackling the epidemic of the new COVID-19 virus and sacrificially and selflessly making sure that the lives of citizens keep running as smoothly as possible.
Petrol's salespeople were represented on stage by Emina Biček, Jolanda Vereš, Tadej Čepin, Klaudija Barkovič, Jasmina Mikuž, Boštjan Pišot, Marija Polenek, Mitja Kozar, Mihaela Fras and Lidija Vrhovnik. Proud of the solemn event, at which they were able to chat with President Borut Pahor, they were also asked what the employees at Petrol excel the most at, and why they like working at Petrol.
Klaudija Barkovič, saleswoman at PM Obrežje AC east (pictured second from left): "Petrol is an excellent trader because of the wide range of products and services that are reliable and of high quality and because it offers them in an extremely large sales network. It also has the best salespeople in the trade industry, as it invests heavily in employee education. Because of this, we are professionally trained and educated in sales, which is an important key to successful sales in all areas. I really like working at Petrol, because I can constantly grow as a person and as a salesperson in an environment where I also have opportunities for advancement. The diversity and variety of work at the point of sale and the good relations among employees also contribute to well-being. The Apple of Inspiration award received by salespeople across the industry personally confirms to me that I am working for a great company."
Tadej Čepin, manager of PM Krško (leftmost in the photo): "Petrol is an excellent trader because of its flexibility, finding ways to meet market demands and at the same time being creative and competitive with other trading companies. Our high-quality staff also contributes a great deal, offering customers additional satisfaction and a reason to revisit our petrol stations. The employees at Petrol are excellent salespeople due to their great communication and sales skills as well as their ability to quickly find solutions and identify the needs of our customers. We are distinguished by values such as diligence, loyalty and hard work, which contributes to good business results and customer satisfaction. Petrol is also constantly investing in our development, knowledge and satisfaction. I really like working for Petrol. The work of a manager is a challenge for me, as I encounter innovations and additional requirements at every step, so it is important that I follow the development and understand how to implement everything into the existing way of working. It is also a great pleasure for me to work with clients and my co-workers, as their satisfaction confirms to me that I am doing a good job. Receiving the Apple of Inspiration award made me quite happy. Working during the epidemic was indeed very difficult and stressful. I am delighted that our exposure and sacrifice has been noticed and rewarded."
